'cause is a bit difficult, to get more power, from that moter, especially if you going only natural aspire.
I mean, ok, you can put a free intake system, with a better exhaust (that's the first steps), but you ain't gonna get much.
If you put a small turbo in that moter, easilly you can get about 100~105hp, but expect to pay between 4000 to 5000 euros!!!
So it is more clever, to put on your car, the moter from GT, with the same amount of money and you gonna get, 136hp.

Nice to have foreign members

Welcome to our punto-hood .
The easiest way to gain power from your 1.2 L engine is to replace your single-point fuel injection with a multipoint (also from an 8 valve cylinder-head) which was installed on fiat punto 75ELX .
The next best N/A solution is the "very best" engine swap from the sporting (1.2L 86 hp & 6 speed gearbox +reverse) which with little tweaking(camshafts replacement) can reach 100hp.
Of course here in Greece most drivers prefer the "GT" solution(as my friende Orange mentioned) due to the many second hand engines available and the many tuning choices .
